1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules for coating of dimensionally stable anode for electrolyzer, and packaging, marking, storage and transportation of dimensionally stable anode.
This standard applies to the coating of dimensionally stable anode in the electrolyzer with ruthenium as the main body and titanium as the substrate for the diaphragm electrolyzer of the chlor-alkali industry (hereinafter referred to as the diaphragm cell), the sodium hypochlorite industry non-diaphragm electrolyzer(hereinafter referred to as the sodium hypochlorite cell) and the chlorate industry non-diaphragm electrolyzer (hereinafter referred to as the chlorate cell) with NaCl aqueous solution as the electrolyte.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
dimensionally stable anode
precious metal oxide anode coated on the titanium substrate with ruthenium as the main body
3.2
ruthenium content
mass of ruthenium in dimensionally stable anode coating per unit area
3.3
homogeneous degree
degree of uniformity of the coating indicated by the relative standard deviation of the ruthenium content or the corresponding quantity value measured at multiple points
3.4
chlorine-liberated potential
potential of calomel electrode relative to saturated potassium chloride solution when chlorine evolution electrolytic reaction is carried out at a specified current density
3.5
polarisability
rate of change of the corresponding electrode potential as the current density changes during an electrolytic reaction and is expressed as the amount of change in electrode potential when the current density is changed by one order of magnitude
3.6
fortifying life
cumulative time for the electrolytic reaction of dimensionally stable anode coating in a solution of specified concentration of H2SO4 at a specified current density until the termination of the reaction of the dimensionally stable anode coating
3.7
fortifying weightlessness
amount of reduction of coating mass after electrolytic reaction of dimensionally stable anode coating in NaOH solution of specified concentration and at specified current density for specified time
3.8
test sample
sample for testing the performance of dimensionally stable anode coating
3.9
test piece
unit sample(s) taken from test sample(s) according to regulations and used for inspection of various items
