Scope

This standard specifies two methods for determining the coefficient of static friction and the coefficient of dynamic friction between vulcanized rubber and sheets. Method A of this standard is suitable for the determination of the surface friction coefficient of vulcanized rubber specimens, and method B is suitable for the determination of the friction coefficient during repeated friction of vulcanized rubber specimens used in conveyor wheels such as copy machines and fax machines.
