Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, safety, etc. for industrial tetrachlorethylene. This standard applies to industrial tetrachlorethylene produced from tricyanethylene as raw material and industrial tetrachlorethylene produced by natural gas thermal chlorination method and recovered from carbon tetrachloride kettle liquid. Type I products are used for more precise purposes, such as dry cleaning, metal cleaning, etc.; Type II products are used for general purposes, such as oil extraction, fur degreasing and raw materials for the synthesis of hexachloroethane.
