Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. for industrial triethanolamine. This standard applies to industrial triethanolamine produced by the reaction of ethylene oxide and ammonia. Type I products are mainly used in pharmaceutical intermediates and daily chemical industries. Type II products are mainly used in metal processing, leather processing, surfactants and cement enhancers.
