Scope
This standard specifies the type, material composition, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of styrenic thermoplastic elastomer materials (hereinafter referred to as materials) for wires and cables. This standard applies to insulation and sheathing materials for power cables, communication optical cables, and consumer electronics cables with rated voltages of 2 kV and below.
