This standard specifies the purge and trap/gas chromatography for determining 21 volatile organic compounds in water.
This standard is applicable to the determination of volatile organic compounds in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. Where the sampled quantity is 5mL, the method detection limit of target compound is 0.1~0.5μg/L and the lower limit of determination is 0.4~2.0μg/L. See Appendix A for the target compounds and the detection limits.
Other volatile organic compounds accepted by applicability test may also be analyzed by this method.
