Scope

This standard specifies the use of isotope dilution high-resolution gas chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry for the detection of 2,3,7,8-chlorodioxins and tetrachloro-octachloro-substituted polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins. Methods for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of polychlorinated dibenzofurans and polychlorinated dibenzofurans. This standard is applicable to the sampling, sample processing and qualitative and quantitative analysis of dioxin-like pollutants in solid waste, but is not applicable to the analysis of gaseous solid waste placed in containers.
