Scope
This standard specifies the safety requirements and related performance requirements, test methods and inspection rules for small arc welding transformer structures that can be used by welders for short-term welding. This standard is applicable to small arc welding transformers for welders to perform short-term manual arc welding with coated electrodes under general use conditions. Some special requirements can be coordinated between the user and the manufacturer on the basis of this standard, or can be specified in special technical conditions or product standards.
