Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, models and basic parameters, technical requirements, testing, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of lithium-ion battery charging equipment. This standard applies to charging equipment for lithium-ion battery modules or lithium-ion battery assemblies composed of lithium-ion batteries greater than or equal to 6A·h. It can also be used for charging equipment for nickel-based batteries and lead-acid battery modules and assemblies. This standard applies to charging equipment that uses cables to connect to battery modules or assemblies, with an AC rated voltage not exceeding 660 V and a DC rated voltage not exceeding 1,000 V.
