Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements, standard ratings, markings, general instructions for testing, dimensions and structural electrical requirements for rectangular fuse links. This standard applies to rectangular fuse-links used in printed circuits for the protection of electrical installations, electronic equipment and their components usually used indoors. This standard does not apply to rectangular fuse links for electrical installations used under special conditions (such as corrosive or explosive atmospheres).
