Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for vacuum low-pressure carburizing and quenching heat treatment equipment, process, quality control and inspection, safety, health and environmental protection. This standard is applicable to the heat treatment process of vacuum low-pressure carburizing and quenching of steel parts using hydroxyl gases such as acetylene and propane as carburizing media.
