Introduction

Core Standard Evolution and Technology Upgrade

Compared with the 1993 version, the JB/T 2379-2016 standard has undergone 7 key technical upgrades: supplementing the medium applicability range, adding metal pipe material options, refining surface load indicators, and improving insulation material temperature classification. The latest version of the standard was jointly drafted by Zhenjiang Dongfang Electric Heating and other six units, reflecting the industry's technical consensus.

Analysis of product classification system

Structural type Code Lead-out method Typical application
Standard lead-out at both ends A Dual-end symmetric General purpose gas/liquid heating
Single-end parallel lead-out C Parallel double rods Compact space installation
Single-end coaxial lead-out D Concentric structure Scenario with high sealing requirements

The outer diameter tolerance of embedded components is strictly controlled within ±0.18mm (Φ6.5) to ±0.26mm (Φ22), which is 40% higher than the ordinary type, ensuring the interference fit effect with the metal heating body.

Comparison of key performance indicators

Test items Technical requirements Test methods Judgment criteria
Sealing test 0.5MPa/5min Hydrostatic pressure No leakage
Insulation resistance Cold state ≥50MΩ Measured by megohmmeter Calculated by formula (2)
Life test 3000 hours Rated operating conditions Power attenuation ≤ 10%

Material selection technical specifications

Magnesium oxide powder is classified according to the working temperature: low temperature type for below 400℃, medium temperature type for 400-600℃, and high temperature type for 600-850℃. When the surface temperature of the component exceeds 450℃, the brass lead rod is prohibited to prevent zinc volatilization.

Implementation suggestions and precautions

  1. Installation specifications: The bending radius should be ≥ 2 times the pipe diameter to avoid mechanical stress concentration
  2. Media compatibility: Stainless steel pipes must be made of 316L material in chloride ion environment
  3. Electrical safety: When the working voltage is >440V, it must comply with the additional requirements of GB 5959.1
  4. Maintenance cycle: It is recommended to test the insulation resistance value every 2000 hours

A petrochemical enterprise’s heating element did not control the surface load according to Table 2 (actual 9.5W/cm²>allowed 8W/cm²), resulting in a pipe melt-through accident. After the rectification, the Φ16mm components were selected in strict accordance with the standards to replace the original Φ12mm specifications, the load was reduced to 7.2W/cm², and the operating life was increased by 3 times.
