Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection conditions, inspection methods, markings and packaging of plate thickness micrometers. This standard is applicable to micrometer screws with a graduation value of 0.01 mm, 0.001 mm and a resolution of 0.001 mm, a micrometer screw pitch of 0.5 mm, 1 mm or other specifications, a measuring range of 10 mm, 15 mm, 25 mm or 50 mm, and a measuring range of Mechanical reading plate thickness micrometers and electronic digital plate thickness micrometers with an upper limit of up to 300 mm (collectively referred to as plate thickness micrometers).
