1.1 This standard specifies manufacturing, inspection, and acceptance requirements of formed heads for steel pressure vessels, and simultaneously, present usual pattern and parameter of formed heads for steel pressure vessels.
1.2 Patterns and parameters presented by this standard are applicable to formed heads for steel pressure vessels shaped by stamping, flow forming, and rolling with complete board or plate alignment of types listed in table 1.
1.3 Manufacturing, inspection and acceptance requirements specified in this standard is both applicable to heads listed in table 1 and ellipsoidal, dished, edge fold conical and spherical cap heads for steel pressure vessels shaped by complete board or plate alignment with other types and parameters by stamping, flow forming and rolling.
