Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and storage of general-purpose small gasoline engine exhaust mufflers (hereinafter referred to as mufflers). This standard applies to exhaust mufflers for general-purpose small gasoline engines (referring to general-purpose small gasoline engines not exceeding 30 kW).
