Scope
This standard applies to concealed electrical accessories with rated voltage not exceeding AC 440V, rated current not exceeding 32A, for household and similar environments, such as panels, adjustment plates and installation boxes for switches, sockets, bell buttons, etc. Panels, adjustment plates and installation boxes for concealed installation of electrical accessories are suitable for use at ambient temperatures that generally do not exceed 35°C and occasionally reach 40°C. This standard also applies to installation boxes for installing or suspending lighting equipment. This standard does not apply to combined electrical accessories equipped with overcurrent protection devices, nor to bus bar trough type electrical accessories.
