Introduction

Standard Background and Evolution

As an alternative version of JC 340-83, JC 340-92 reflects the standardization of manufacturing technology for diamond circular saw blades in China's building materials industry in the early 1990s. This standard is aimed at the processing of non-metallic hard and brittle materials (such as stone, concrete, and ceramics) and improves the industry's quality level by unifying product parameters and testing methods.

Core parameter analysis

Key indicators Wide groove type (1A IRSS/C1) Through groove type (1A IRSS/C2)
Applicable diameter range (mm) 400-2200 200-700
Base thickness tolerance (mm) ±0.3~±2.0 ±0.3~±0.5
Typical groove depth (mm) 3.2-12.0 1.6-5.0

Key technical requirements

Material manufacturing specifications

  • Hardness control: HRC 38-45, hardness difference of the same piece ≤4HRC
  • Flatness: Relaxed from 0.08mm to 0.50mm as the diameter increases
  • Radial runout: The highest accuracy requirement is 0.03mm (diameter 200-250mm)

Segment welding standard

Acctual cases show that when the symmetry of the diamond segment exceeds 0.15mm, it is easy to produce deflection during the cutting process, resulting in an increase of 10-15% in the incision width. The welding symmetry limit specified in the standard can effectively ensure the cutting accuracy.

Key points of detection method

The standard innovatively stipulates special inspection tooling (as shown in Figure 5), requiring:

  1. Flange end face circular runout ≤0.01-0.05mm
  2. Core shaft radial runout ≤0.01-0.05mm
  3. During detection, the dial indicator contact is positioned 10-20mm from the bottom of the groove

Implementation suggestions

Selection guide

Select diamond concentration according to material hardness:
- Hard materials such as granite: recommended concentration 75-100%
- Medium-hard materials such as marble: recommended concentration 50-75%

Maintenance specifications

Article 8.4 of the standard specifically emphasizes that circular saw blades should be stored upright and kept ventilated and dry when hung. Practice shows that flat storage may cause the base to deform at a rate of 0.1 mm/year.
