Scope

This standard specifies the classification and labeling, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of non-metallic sealing packing. This standard applies to sealing packings and packing rings made of non-metallic materials that do not contain asbestos. Pure graphite packing rings can also be implemented as follows.
