Asbestos cloth for insulation

1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transport and storage of asbestos cloth for insulation.

This standard is applicable to asbestos cloth for insulation which is woven with dry asbestos yarn & thread for separating hydrogen and oxygen in a water electrolyzer.

3 Technical requirements

3.1 Appearance quality requirements

The surface of the asbestos cloth for insulation shall be free of weaving defects, such as missing end, mis-picks, skipped stitching, and obvious exposure of thread ends.

3.2 The specifications & dimensions and corresponding permissible deviations of the asbestos cloth for insulation shall meet the requirements of Table 1.
