Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of asbestos yarn and thread. This standard applies to yarns made of chrysotile asbestos fibers or chrysotile asbestos fibers mixed with other fibers by dry or wet spinning. It also applies to asbestos yarns twisted by two or more asbestos yarns, and asbestos yarns with various Reinforcement material of asbestos yarn and thread.
