Analysis of key technical requirements

Physical and mechanical performance indicators

The standard stipulates that the interface agent must pass 6 working condition tests: untreated, immersed in water, heat-resistant, freeze-thaw, alkali-resistant and tensile bond strength after 20 minutes of exposure. The original bond strength of Type I products is required to be ≥0.7MPa, and that of Type II is ≥0.5MPa.

New lateral deformation test

The GB/T 12954.1-2008 method is used, requiring the interface agent to have a deformation capacity of ≥2.5mm when subjected to shear stress, ensuring that the bonding effect is maintained when the substrate expands and contracts.


Implementation points

Engineering application case

In a certain affordable housing project in Shanghai, PI type interface agent was used to treat the aerated concrete block wall. After 28 days of curing, the measured bonding strength reached 1.2MPa, which was 40% higher than that of the traditional process.

Key to quality control

  • A planetary mixer must be used for mixing (rotation 140±5r/min, revolution 62±5r/min)
  • Standard curing conditions: temperature 23±2℃, humidity 50±5%
  • Freeze-thaw cycle test must be strictly controlled between -15±3℃ and 23±2℃

Background of standard evolution

With the development of prefabricated buildings, the application of interface treatment agents in prefabricated component connections has surged. The 2018 version of the standard responds to the special needs of marine engineering and areas with large temperature differences by adding alkali resistance and lateral deformation indicators.
