Scope
This standard specifies the application environment, session mechanism, message format, security and encryption, data integrity, extension method, message definition, data dictionary, etc. of the Securities Trading Exchange Protocol (STEP) required for stock exchanges between stock exchange trading systems and market participant systems. This standard is applicable to business data exchange between stock exchanges and market participants and related financial institutions, and can also be used as a reference for the connection between systems of various institutions in the securities and futures industry.
