Introduction
Background of Standard Evolution
This standard replaces JT/T 321-1997 version. The main technical changes include:
| Technical Field | 1997 Edition | 2020 Edition | Type of Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Definition of Terms | 5 items | 3 items | Streamlining and Merging |
| Power Supply System | 3 Categories | Add Natural Energy Power Supply | Technical Expansion |
| Safety Facilities | Basic Requirements | Add CCTV Monitoring | Function Enhancement |
Core technical requirements
1. Lighthouse classification system
Using dual dimensions for classification:
- Class A lighthouse: isolated islands/islands below the township level
- Class B lighthouse: mainland/islands above the township level
Lighting range classification standards:
| Level | Range (n mile) | Lantern diameter |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | ≥22 | ≥3.0m |
| Level 2 | 18-22 | ≥2.5m |
| Level 3 | 15-18 | ≥2.2m |
2. Main structure specifications
Key parameter requirements:
- Tower height: ≥8m (including lantern)
- Staircase form: inward spiral stairs are preferred, and the vertical span of straight ladders is ≤3m
- Door and window standards: dual requirements of watertightness and anti-theft
The newly added color specification requires that the color of the tower and the lantern must ensure conspicuousness during the day.
3. Upgrade of intelligent facilities
Reflect the changes in modern navigation needs:
- Mandatory configuration of automatic switching system for main and standby lights
- New requirements for telemetry and monitoring facilities (Article 12.5)
- Allow expansion to integrated maritime information platform (Article 12.6)
Implementation suggestions
1. Connection between old and new standards
Special attention should be paid to reconstruction projects:
- The power supply system must comply with the natural energy power supply requirements of Article 8.3
- The deleted mechanical water supply facilities (1997 version 8.1.2) need to be replaced
- The additional helicopter platform must comply with the MH 5013 standard
2. Configuration of key facilities
Differentiated configuration according to lighthouse type:
| Facility Type | Class A Lighthouse | Class B Lighthouse |
|---|---|---|
| Oil Storage Tank Capacity | ≥6 months’ usage | ≥3 months’ usage |
| Business Building Area | ≤190m² | ≤150m² |
| Wharf Requirements | Mandatory Configuration | Public Wharf Can Be Used |
3. Key Points of Safety Management
Articles to Pay Attention to:
- Article 6.6: A manned elevator is required for towers >16m
- Article 11.1.2: A 1.1m guardrail is required for height differences >1.2m
- Article 12.3: Fire-fighting facilities must comply with GB 50016
