Interpretation of the core content of the standard
This standard clearly defines for the first time rice bran for oil as "a mixture of the cortex, rice germ and a small amount of rice bran removed during the grinding process of polished round-grained rice", which is different from ordinary rice bran for feed. The technical indicators highlight key parameters such as oil content ≥14.0% and acid value ≤40.0 mg/g.

Key technical requirements
Raw material control
It is clearly stipulated that the raw rice must comply with the GB 1350 standard, with special requirements for the freshness index to prevent aging of rice from causing rice bran to become rancid.
Testing method
- Acid value determination: GB 5009.229 titration method is used. It is necessary to pay attention to the sample pretreatment temperature being controlled below 40℃
- Oil content detection: According to GB/T 14488.1 Soxhlet extraction method, it is recommended to use n-hexane solvent
Industrial application case
After a grain and oil company in Henan implemented the standard:
- The acid value of rice bran was reduced from 45mg/g to 28mg/g through the low-temperature rice milling process
- The storage period was extended to 30 days by using nitrogen packaging
- The oil yield was increased by 2.3 percentage points
Implementation suggestions
Processing
It is recommended to complete rice milling within 24 hours after rice husking, and control the temperature of rice bran below 35°C to avoid lipase activation.
Storage and transportation
- Preferably use aluminum-coated composite bags for packaging (in accordance with GB/T 8946)
- Storage temperature should be ≤15°C, relative humidity ≤65%
- Transport vehicles must be equipped with temperature and humidity monitoring devices
