Scope

This standard specifies the antenna characteristics, broadband radio frequency characteristics and other basic technical performance and business requirements that should be observed for aeronautical mobile service satellite communications ground earth stations, as well as technical requirements that are only recommended for use (indicated by "recommendations" in the text). This standard is applicable to domestic satellite communication ground earth stations that use C/L frequency bands for aeronautical mobile services (4/6GHz frequency band for feed links and 1.5/1.6GHz frequency bands for service links). It is not only applicable to domestic aeronautical mobile service satellite communication systems, but also to domestic satellite communication ground earth stations that join the international aeronautical mobile service satellite communication network. The communication services and functions provided by the ground earth station can be selected by the owner of the ground earth station, but they should comply with this standard. This standard applies to the establishment, operation and technical transformation of ground earth stations. This standard applies to data services and telephone services.
