1 Scope

This standard specifies the type inspection items, methods, requirements and rules for the complete unit, traveling part driving device and cutting part transmission (driving) device of the drum shearer used for the underground mining longwall coal face (hereinafter referred to as "shearer").
This standard is applicable to the type inspection of various types of shearers.

The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. When this standard is published, all the listed editions are valid. As all the standards will be revised, each party using this standard shall discuss the feasibility of using the latest edition of the following standards.

3 Test Items, Methods and Requirements

3.1 Overall test
3.1.1 Idling test
The complete shearer is installed at the middle slot (including the attached device on both sides) of the auxiliary scraper conveyor (hereinafter referred to as "conveyor") and the output shaft of traveling part driving device idles (the haulage chain shall not be installed for the chain hauled shearer to make the head sprocket idle; the driving wheel or traveling wheel of the chainless hauled shearer shall be dismantled to make the output shaft or driving wheel idle). The power, cooling water and water for spraying dust supply shall be in accordance with the requirements of design technique document and the product instruction (hereinafter referred to as "design requirements") and the oil pool shall be fuelled according to required quantity and quality. The test contents are detailed in Table 1.
