Scope
This standard specifies a test method for determining the corrosion resis ance of vehicle gear oil using a hypoid gear drive axle in the presence of water and heating conditions. This test standard is commonly referred to as the L-33-1 test. This standard is suitable for determining the corrosion resis ance of vehicle gear oil.
