Scope

This part specifies the acceptance requirements for welding filler materials used for nuclear is and mechanical equipment in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This section is applicable to the acceptance of welding filler materials such as welding rods, welding wires, welding strips, and fluxes used for welding and surfacing of carbon steel, low alloy steel, austenitic stainless steel, and nickel-based alloys (excluding wear-resis ant surfacing).
