Scope

This standard specifies the classification method for the classification of environmental qualification conditions for electrical equipment important for safety in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants and their interfaces. This standard is applicable to the identification of specific equipment in nuclear power plants and the confirmation of the qualification status of equipment in service during operation. This standard does not apply to passive nuclear power plants and does not involve severe accident environmental classification.
