Scope

This guiding technical document provides the instrumentation and control (I&C) function classification method, general principles and implementation steps of ris -based probabilis ic safety assessment (PSA) technology. The classification method in this guiding technical document is applicable to the functional classification of I&C systems important to safety in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. Other reactor types of nuclear power plants can refer to and implement them based on their actual technical characteris ics. Depending on different purposes, the methods related to this standard can be used at various stages of nuclear power plant design, construction, operation, and decommis ioning.
