Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of soapstone products, quality factors and grades of soapstone products, inspection methods, grading requirements, grading certificates or grading reports, and identification of soapstone products. This standard applies to the production, trade, quality evaluation and other activities of soapstone products. This standard does not apply to artificially processed soapstone products (except for crack injection and reset bonding), nor does it apply to unpolis ed soapstone products.
