Details of key test methods
1. Wrinkle removal rate test (Clause 6.8)
A 200-grid (2cm×4cm) cotton load cloth is used and 800 standard folds are formed by fan-shaped folding. During the test:
- The steam nozzle is ironed vertically at a speed of 3-5cm/s
- Residual wrinkles＞1cm are considered unqualified
- Calculation formula: λ=(N1-N2)/N1×100%
2. Life test (Clause 6.12)
Simulate a 500-hour use cycle (60min on/30min off), requirements:
- Test water hardness 30±10mg/L
- Clean scale every 50 cycles
- Steam must be discharged normally after the test
Standard implementation recommendations
Manufacturers
- Focus on the durability of the steam duct (must pass 120℃ high temperature + hot and cold cycle test)
- Pressure-type products must add a pressure seal test (Clause 6.18)
Testing agency
- The sterilization test needs to use standard strains of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC6538 and Escherichia coli 8099
- The steam volume test needs to control the ambient temperature to 25±2℃ (Clause 6.1)
