Scope

This standard specifies the basic rules and methods for preparing assemblies and devices and part numbers of various types of automobiles and semi-trailers. This standard applies to the numbering of parts, assemblies and devices of various types of automobiles and semi-trailers. This standard does not apply to the numbers of parts, assemblies and devices of special device parts of special-purpose automobiles and special-purpose semi-trailers, as well as the numbering of automobile standard parts and bearings.
