1 Scope

This standard specifies the bench test methods of recirculating ball automobile steering gear and pinion and rack automobile steering gear.

This standard is applicable to recirculating ball automobile steering gear and rack and pinion automobile steering gear.

The test items of this standard are classified into the following three types:
