Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of steering locks with ignition switches for automobiles (hereinafter referred to as steering locks). This standard is applicable to the steering lock of a car with an ignition switch, and also to the steering lock of a combination switch on the steering shaft.
