QJ 1488A-2004 General specification for chamber insulation, liner and stress release boot of solid rocket motor
1 Scope
This specification specifies the requirements, manufacturing, performance, quality assurance requirements and delivery preparation of chamber insulation, liner and stress release boot of solid rocket motor (hereinafter referred to as motor).
This specification is applicable to the manufacturing, production and inspection of insulation, liner and stress release boot on the inner (outer) surface of motor chamber.

3 Requirements
3.1 General
The chamber insulation, liner and stress release boot shall comply with all requirements of this specification and corresponding specific specifications. In case of any inconsistency between this specification and the specific specifications, the latter shall prevail.
3.2 Design
The design of chamber insulation, liner and stress release boot shall meet the requirements of design assignment and relevant standards and regulations.
3.3 Manufacturing
3.3.1 Materials
3.3.1.1 See Table 1 for the common materials and main performance indicators of combustion chamber insulation, liner and stress release boot.
