Scope

This standard specifies the protection principles of meteorological information systems, the division of lightning protection areas, shielding measures and cable laying, lightning surge protection and the maintenance and management of lightning protection devices. This standard applies to the lightning protection design and construction of newly built meteorological information systems; the lightning protection design and construction of the transformation of original meteorological information systems can be implemented with reference. In addition to complying with the provisions of this standard, the lightning protection design and construction of meteorological information systems should also comply with the provisions of relevant current national standards.
