Standard SC/T

Introduction

Standard Framework and Technological Evolution

As the second part of the SC/T 4048 series, this standard adds new material specifications such as UHMWPE twisted mesh compared with the 2008 version of GB/T 18673, reflecting the trend of deep-sea aquaculture equipment towards high strength and corrosion resistance.

Core Terminology System

TermsDefinitionDetection Significance
K-type meshAbnormal mesh with uneven day legsAffects the hydrodynamic performance of the net box
Slip knotDefective knot that can slide on the net lineReduces the structural stability of the net
Nominal number of strandsTotal number of monofilaments/yarnsDetermines the basic strength of the net line

Comparison of Net Classification Systems

Typical case: A deep-sea aquaculture company selected UHMWPE-111tex×15 warp knitted mesh, which has a hole rate of <0.03%, 40% higher than that of traditional PE mesh, reducing the loss of cage damage by about 1.2 million yuan during the typhoon season.

TypeMaterialBreaking strength coefficientApplicable water depth

Knotless meshUHMWPE≥SC/T 5022>50m

Analysis of key technical indicators

Appearance quality control

The yarn skipping rate of meshes with more than 5 strands must meet the strict formula of (0.01%×nominal number of strands). For example, the allowable value for a 15-strand mesh is 0.15%, reflecting the precision requirements of high-density mesh clothing.

Mesh length deviation

PA multifilament meshes allow a ±4.0% deviation when a≤50mm, which is stricter than the ±5.5% of PE meshes, ensuring the dimensional stability advantage of polyamide materials.

Implementation Suggestions

  1. For deep-sea aquaculture, UHMWPE warp knitted mesh is preferred, as its longitudinal breaking strength is three times that of traditional materials.
  2. During the acceptance of nets, hidden defects such as slip knots and K-type meshes should be inspected.
  3. The dimensional stability of shaped meshes (Class 1) is more than 20% higher than that of unshaped meshes (Class 2).
