Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and transportation of adult life jackets that provide a buoyancy greater than or equal to 100N in fresh water. This standard applies to life jackets used by crew members of fishing vessels in coastal areas when escaping from distress.
