Chapter 1 General Provisions

Article 1.0.1 This code is applicable to the erection and acceptance of hydraulic structure engineering for thermal power plant with a unit capacity of 50~600MW. The engineering below 50MW may be implemented by reference to this code.
Article 1.0.2 This code is prepared on the basis of summing up the construction experience of domestic thermal power generation engineering, with respect to the characteristic of hydraulic structure engineering for thermal power plant, and by taking the main hydraulic structure engineering as the object.
Article 1.0.3 The content not specified in this code shall be implemented according to the relevant requirements of the current national standards and the current ministerial standards.
Article 1.0.4 For the hydraulic structure engineering, the domestic and foreign advanced technology shall be popularized positively with caution and with procedure on the basis of summing up experience continuously. The new material, new structure and new erection process shall be used in accordance with local conditions through test demonstration, field industrial pilot and technical assessment.
Article 1.0.5 Before the erection of main hydraulic structure engineering, a field survey shall be carried out, and the engineering characteristics and erection conditions shall be analyzed; the unit project erection organization design shall be prepared and the erection preparation work shall be made well, to enable the engineering to smoothly progress.
Article 1.0.6 During erection of hydraulic structure engineering, if any significant technology subject, the coordination and cooperation among the erection, design and research development departments shall be strengthened; topic technical measures shall be established; technical management shall be strengthened; and erection record shall be made well.
