1 Subject Content and Application Scope

This Standard specifies the technical requirements for the mineral or synthetic worm gear oil.
The products in this Standard are classified into two categories: L-CKE and L-CKE/P.
L-CKE is compound worm gear oil mainly applied in the borne light load and drive of copper-steel paired cylinder and double-enveloping types. Local overheating and long running above 100℃ of the oil temperature shall be avoided for the lubrication of stable and shock-less worm couple including the components such as the gear and sliding bearing, cylinder and clutch as well as that of other mechanical equipments operating in humid environment in the process of application.
L-CKE/P is extreme pressure worm gear oil mainly applied for the borne heavy load of the copper-steel paired cylinder type, the worm couple with vibration and impact in the drive, including the lubrication of the components such as the gear and straight spur gear and that of the other mechanical equipments. Statement of the oil manufacturer must be provided if the product is applied for the worm couple of double enveloping type.
