Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the freezing point of jet fuel, the temperature below which solid hydrocarbon crystals will form in jet fuel. This standard is applicable to the determination of freezing point in the range of -80°C to +20°C. However, the inter-laboratory study mentioned in Article 12.4 only verified the freezing point of jet fuel in the range of -45°C to -65°C. When using this standard to measure JetB and JP4 samples, users should pay attention (see 12.3). This standard uses SI (International System of Units) as the standard unit of measurement. The use of this standard may involve hazardous materials, operations and equipment. This standard does not make recommendations on all safety issues related to this. Users are responsible for formulating appropriate safety and protection measures before using this standard and clarifying its restricted scope of application.
