Scope

This specification stipulates the minimum requirements for the design, manufacturing, inspection and testing of special-purpose steam turbines and their auxiliary equipment used in petrochemical industry drives. This specification is applicable to the engineering design and equipment procurement of special-purpose steam turbines in the petrochemical industry. This specification does not apply to general purpose steam turbines.
