Scope

This specification specifies the minimum requirements for the design, manufacturing, inspection and testing of dry or oil-injected rotary compressors and their drivers and auxiliary equipment used in petrochemical and natural gas installations. This specification applies to the engineering design and equipment procurement of rotary compressor units in petrochemical plants. This specification does not apply to general-purpose air compressor units, liquid ring and vane compressor units.
