1 Scope

This specification specifies the general requirements of geotechnical investigation in petrochemical industry, the requirements of geotechnical investigation in plant area, tank area and long-distance pipeline, engineering analysis and assessment as well as the contents and requirements of investigation report.
This specification is applicable to the geotechnical investigation for the construction, expansion and renovation of main production unit and its system support engineering facilities in petrochemical industry and it also applicable to the geotechnical investigation for the construction of tanks and long-distance pipelines.
