Scope

This specification stipulates the construction process and construction methods of vertical cylindrical steel storage tanks, and stipulates process control, quality standards and inspection tests such as prefabrication, assembly and welding. This specification applies to the construction of carbon steel, low alloy steel and austenitic stainless steel atmospheric storage tanks. This specification does not apply to the construction of vertical cylindrical cryogenic storage tanks.
