Scope

This specification specifies the basic application programming interface for application devices (APD) (see 3.1) that interface devices must support. It is suitable for integrated circuit card interface devices (IFD) (see 3.4) and software in embedded applications and personal computer systems. Integrated circuit cards (ICCs) that comply with this specification shall physically and electrically comply with SJ/T 11220 and SJ/T 11221 standards. These standards provide detailed definitions of the physical and electrical characteristics of integrated circuit cards (ICCs).
