Scope

This standard has been developed to clarify the requirements for electromechanical design of water conservancy and hydropower projects and ensure safe, economical, and reliable operation. This standard applies to the hydraulic machinery, primary electrical system, secondary electrical system, and communications design of large and medium-sized hydropower plants, pumping stations, sluice gates, and other water conservancy and hydropower projects. The electromechanical design of water conservancy and hydropower projects should be economically and rationally formulated based on the project's mission and scale, the hydrodynamic characteristics of the hub, the power system, environmental protection requirements, and other considerations, in conjunction with the project's operational mode and natural environmental conditions. In addition to complying with this standard, the electromechanical design of water conservancy and hydropower projects must also comply with the provisions of relevant current national standards.
