Scope

1.0.1 This standard is formulated to strengthen water resources management and standardize water resources survey and evaluation. 1.0.2 This standard applies to the survey and evaluation of water resources at the national, regional, and river basin (river) levels. 1.0.3 Water resources survey and evaluation should utilize existing water conservancy and hydropower survey, design, and planning results; for regions and rivers without planning and design results, estimates can be made based on analysis of relevant topographic, geological, hydrological, and meteorological basic data. 1.0.4 Water resources survey and evaluation should also consider the impacts of river ecological environment protection, project land occupation, and resettlement. 1.0.6 In addition to complying with the provisions of this standard, water resources survey and evaluation should also comply with the provisions of relevant current national standards.
