Gate water seal implementation standards

Introduction

Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution

This standard combines and revises the two old regulations SL722-2015 and SL240-1999, adds new management requirements for mobile gate hoists, and strengthens digital operation and maintenance content. The main technical evolutions include:

Version comparison dimensions SL240-1999 SL722-2015 SL/T722-2020
Scope of application Gate and gate hoist rating Basic requirements for safe operation Integrated management system, add mobile gate hoist
Technical terms 12 chapters 7 chapters + appendix 8 chapters + enhanced appendix, refinement of hydraulic system detection
Digital requirements Not involved Basic automation Newly added network firewall and video surveillance system specifications

Analysis of core technical requirements

Equipment operation specifications

Hydraulic gate hoist must be checked for oil level in the tank and sealing of the pipeline before operation. The oil temperature during operation must not exceed 65℃; Mobile gate hoist needs to verify the wind resistance of the track clamp, and the track deviation should be ≤3mm/m.

Maintenance system

Typical case: The abnormal noise of the hinge of the radial gate of a reservoir was dealt with. According to the inspection in Article 4.3.2, it was found that the grease had failed. After the pollutant level was tested according to GB/T30507 standard, food-grade grease was replaced. The vibration value dropped from 0.8mm/s to 0.2mm/s.

Key maintenance cycle:

  • Daily inspection: once a month, focusing on structural deformation and lubrication status
  • Regular inspection: once before/after the flood season each year, including no-load trial run
  • Hydraulic oil inspection: measure the contamination degree every 500 operating hours (NAS≤8 level)

Key points for equipment grade assessment

Rating unit Class I equipment standard Key indicators
Gate water stop device Water leakage ≤0.1L/(s·m) Rubber has no cracks, and pressure plate bolts are complete
Steel rope of gate hoist Broken wire number <10% of the total number of wires Scrap standard specified in GB/T5972
Electrical system Insulation resistance ≥1MΩ Grounding resistance <4Ω

Three types of equipment must be immediately shut down and rectified. Typical problems include: brake shoe wear exceeding 50%, cylinder settlement >200mm, and main rail gnawing depth >1mm.

Emergency management innovation requirements

Newly added Article 6.1.2 specifies that a dual power switching device and a manual emergency release system must be equipped, and the drill frequency requirements are:

  • Flood prevention drills: at least one actual drill before the flood season every year
  • Ice period drills: complete simulation operations before freezing
  • Electrical failure drills: one desktop drill every quarter

Implementation suggestions

1. Establish a digital inspection system, integrating the data of the opening sensor and load cell (accuracy ≥0.5%)
2. Important welds shall be ultrasonically tested every 5 years according to the SL101 standard
3. It is recommended to use an online filtration device to control the cleanliness of the hydraulic system
